Founded in 2008 as a joint music company between AMUSE (66%) and KDDI (33%).
On February 14, 2025, AMUSE sold all of it's shares in the company to UNIVERSAL MUSIC LLC.
On September 30, 2025, KDD also sold all of it's shares to UNIVERSAL MUSIC LLC, making A-Sketch a wholly-owned subsidiary.
